There was a great article in today's Register Guard about Springfield Oregon resident and Olympic runner Nick Symmonds. Although he's known for his world class speed, the Springfield community recognized Symmonds' work with the Big Brothers Big Sisters program, and gave him the key to the city.
Symmonds said of living in Springfield, "This community has everything I need to perform to the best of my ability." He plans to train right here as he prepares for the 2012 Summer Olympics in London. "Springfield is a beautiful city," he said. "But when I think of Springfield, I think of my neighbors."
We are so lucky to live in Lane County. Springfield Oregon is such a great place to live, and people show a lot of pride and care for their fellow neighbors! Click here to learn more about the Springfield Oregon community and real estate market.
