What to look for in a Buyers Agent
Good Monday Morning! Today more than ever it is very important to make sure that you are represented by a Buyers Agent when purchasing a home. The truth is that all agents are not created equal and you will want to make sure that you are represented by an agent who is a professional with a strong track record. Your Buyers Agent needs to know the market that you are interested in very well. They need to know both the available inventory of homes for sale and at what prices homes are selling at. Your Buyers agent will also need to be knowledgeable about home financing options, have a list of reputable inspectors and repair professionals and be a strong and solid negotiator. I strongly suggest that before you commit to working with a Real Estate agent that you meet them at their office and interview them. Meeting them in their professional environement will tell you a great deal. Don't be afraid to ask questions and also ask for a list of references. Once you have selected an agent you will want to work solely with that one agent. Most Buyers Agents will ask you to sign a Buyer Broker contract.
